Senior Profile: Liz!

Tell us about your time at MCCA!

Hi, I’m Liz! I have been a student at MCCA for about 4 years now, and I have loved every single second. I’m not exaggerating whenever I say my best memories have been made wherever my MCCA tribe is. I’m in the Pre-Professional dance track and in the Pre-Professional Theatre company. I’ve partaken in many MCCA productions, my favorite roles being tied between Katherine in Newsies Jr. and Ariel in The Little Mermaid Jr. We took both shows to the Junior Theatre Festival where I made some of my favorite memories and experienced so much growth. I will never forget performing 13 Jr. in the New Works showcase in front of thousands of people at JTF 2023. It was, without a doubt, one of my favorite moments ever. MCCA has taught me to be unapologetically myself and to always choose kindness. I am so insanely thankful for the fierce teachers and mentors at MCCA who instilled those values in me. I learn something new from each of them every day. I’m forever grateful for the friendships I have made, the belly laughs, the inside jokes, and the life lessons I have learned because of MCCA.

Describe your senior year in three words.

Bittersweet, Overwhelming, and Exciting!

If you could change one school rule, what would it be?

I would probably just erase all the tardies I have acquired this year due to raging senioritis.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Hopefully living close to all my siblings, still performing, and happy!

What is the most challenging task as a senior?

Definitely acceptance. There are so many firsts, a whole lot of lasts, and everything in between. Senior year is not at all what I thought it would be and the hardest thing about all of it is to realize that it’s ok for things to change.

I am most grateful for…

My twin sister and best friend, Brea. Thank you for filming every single self tape for the past 7 years, being honest with me, and never missing a show.

What is your dream college and why?

Easily UMich, I love the location and the school!

If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would move to France just for the food and sight-seeing!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!

I played volleyball for 10 years!

Who is your favorite band?

Fleetwood Mac always.
