Musical Theatre Class  (Grades 2-5). This class builds on the foundations of Broadway Mini's. Students will combine all of the mediums- acting, voice, and dance.

Musical Theatre Class (Grades 6-12). This class builds on the foundations of Broadway Mini's & Kids. Students will combine all of the mediums- acting, voice, and dance.

PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED - A workshop-style class to create Musical Theatre performance pieces in a fast-paced training program. Students and teachers will collaborate to create large group numbers, small group numbers, and solo pieces throughout the semester. Students can opt to join for both Spring Sessions, or join in Session 2 only. The process will conclude with a cabaret-style performance in MCCA's Studio 4 during the last week of class.

This class is geared to students (Grade 8-12) who are interested in pursuing arts education in college, pursuing local or professional auditions, or students who are interested in up-leveling their audition techniques. The class will focus on preparing students for vocal, dance & acting based auditions. The class will be taught by Coty Forno, and will feature additional guest instructors who will lead discussions on topics from college application processes, regional auditions, how to sing with live accompaniment & more. Throughout the class the students will: 1. Learn techniques to create a confident, prepared, and individualized audition experience that showcase their unique gifts. 2. Build audition material for musical theatre and acting based auditions. 3. Develop tools to learn choreography quickly and execute choreography with power, precision, and story telling. 4. Create a resume and receive two headshot looks. 5. Learn how to calm nerves and deliver a grounded, confident audition.

Explore your love of Visual Arts with this new and exciting class! Kids Create is a Stagecraft class that focuses on the design side of theatre and performing arts. Students will learn about theatrical design - including costumes, set design and construction, props, scenic painting and decoration and more! This class is perfect for students who love to draw and paint, or anyone who wants to learn more about theatre design in a fun and creative environment.
