Student Shoutout: Landry Williams

Ms. Jacki chose Landry for a Student Shout Out because she is a jack of all trades in the Private Lesson Department! Landry currently takes Piano, Voice and Bass Guitar Lessons and is doing amazing work in all three. In addition to being multi-talented, Landry is kind, funny and has a fantastic attitude. She works hard at everything she does and it’s clear how much joy she finds in learning and performing! Landry has been an MCCA student since she was only 2 years old, and it’s been a pleasure to watch her grow over the years. She now serves as a Student Ambassador, helping to guide the next generation of artists, and also shines in our Pre-Professional Musical Theatre program.

Why do you love taking classes at MCCA?

MCCA is a place where I can let my creativity shine. I also love that it gives me the tools I need to help further my knowledge, not only musically but also in theatre.

What classes do you take at MCCA?

Currently I am taking MCCA Magic, JTF Prep class, and Private lessons in Piano, Musical theatre, Voice and Bass Guitar.

What do you love to do outside of MCCA?

Outside of MCCA, I am in jazz band, choir and drama club at my school. I volunteer at the Western MD Food Bank and I like to take my dog on walks.

What is your favorite subject at school?

My favorite subject at school is English Language Arts. I love writing; I think it’s an amazing way to express your thoughts.

What is your favorite memory from MCCA?

If I had to choose, it would be either when it snowed onstage during Showcase, or playing Pony with Pete at JTF.

If you could go anywhere in the world right now where would you go?

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would definitely go to Europe.

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?

I haven’t decided yet.
