Student Shout Out: Ava Devore

Ms. Jamie has chosen Ava DeVore for the Dance Department's student shout-out due to her remarkable hard work, unwavering dedication, and bravery in tackling challenges. Ava has been part of the Luminary Program for several years, and her perseverance serves as an inspiration to all. She is a constant presence in the studios at MCCA both as a student and as an assistant. Everyone loves Ava D.!

Why do you love taking classes at MCCA?

I have the best friends from MCCA and it is helping me learn more about theatre and dance which I love. The teachers make me feel confident and they support me.

What classes do you take at MCCA?

Luminary upper level Contemporary, accelerated musical theatre, private voice, and junior theatre festival classes. I will also be taking the Christmas magic performance class. I am also an MCCA ambassador for lyrical with Miss Kenzie.

What do you love to do outside of MCCA?

I participate in band & chorus. I am involved in my church and I like to write song lyrics and read.

What is your favorite subject at school?

English / Language arts

What is your favorite memory from MCCA?

My first trip to JTF where I got to be in the New Works Showcase and perform 13 JR! In front of 6,000 people. That was amazing!

If you could go anywhere in the world right now where would you go?

Disney!!!

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?

Yes- I love little kids and I want to be a pre-k teacher
