It’s hard to believe that we are ending our Eleven Era year! This year has brought lots of excitement and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible. We have made so many special memories this session. Here are my top 10 favorite MCCA moments of Spring 2025.
JTF 25- We kicked off 2025 with our annual trip to the Junior Theatre Festival. Our company presented Alice in Wonderland JR. and earned an Excellence in Ensemble work.
Share the Love Week- This week is always so magical. We enjoy class parties, meeting new friends, and sharing our love for the arts. We also hosted a Valentine’s Day Parents Night Out!
Accelerated Musical Theatre Class- We loved kicking off this brand new class this session. The Accelerated Musical Theatre class brought students ages 8-18 together to work in a fast paced musical theatre class. The students worked together to create a concert titled “Shine Your Light.” The class was so fun and will definitely become an MCCA staple in our spring session!
Elephant & Piggie- MCCA and Beyond the Stage launched a new program called Read and Sing. We brought the musical “Elephant and Piggie’s- We are in a Play” to life. This show was so joyous from start to finish, and gave the MCCA team a chance to perform and create together.
Dance Competitions- Our Luminary Dancers (led by Ms. Jamie) were brave and tried several new competitions this year. I love seeing our students be courageous with their hearts by trying new things. Everyone did so well, and learned from the amazing experience
MCCA Staff Meetings- I am so proud of our MCCA team and all we have accomplished. I love coming together for our team meetings and working together to continue to make MCCA the best it can be. We also just really enjoy each other so staff meetings give us a chance to connect, laugh, and plan fun activities for our students.
Outreach Program- We were able to teach several outreach classes in school and in afterschool programs this Spring in partnership with the ACPS, Garrett County Judy Center, and the Salvation Army. This was a great opportunity to connect with elementary students and share the power of singing, dancing, and using your imagination.
JumpStart Celebration- The MCCA team hosted 200 JumpStart students at our annual celebration showcase. Students participated in classes in the morning and a sharecase of their school performances in the afternoon. The whole day is magical and one of the best days all spring.
VIP Week- We have so much to be grateful for at MCCA, and it is always great to reflect on our many blessings and celebrate with each other. VIP week is such a fun week getting to know our MCCA families and celebrating all of the hard work our students have poured into their classes.
Showcase Week- There is nothing quite like showcase week. We have 6 shows this year! Everyone is buzzing with excitement, and the MCCA team works so hard to keep everything organized, efficient, and joyous for the whole family. I’m
looking forward to seeing our students shine!
Thank you so much for supporting MCCA! We are grateful for you, and we can’t wait to see what YEAR 12 will bring!
