Sabrina's Bio

As an MCCA alumni, Sabrina is ecstatic to be back home teaching alongside her former instructors. Sabrina has been dancing for 21 years, and she was a dance, voice, and musical theatre student at MCCA from 2014 to 2016. After graduating from Mountain Ridge high school, she continued her education at Dickinson College from which she recently graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Genomics while working as a Lab Processing Technician at UPMC Western Maryland. While in college, Sabrina was also a four year member and two year captain of her school’s dance team, Synergy, where she choreographed dances for her team to perform at basketball games, football games, and other campus events. Sabrina has trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. As a former competition dancer, Sabrina has had the opportunity to attend workshops with Mia Michaels, Cris Judd, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Laurieann Gibson and Travis Wall.

Sabrina has performed in many local theatre productions over the past 15 years. Some of her favorite roles include Rosie in Mountain Ridge High School’s production of Bye Bye Birdie (2015), Ermengarde in Apple Alley Players Production of Hello Dolly (2011), and Duchess in Front and Centre Stage’s production of Aristocats (2006). She has also been a titleholder within the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organizations since 2011. As a former Miss Maryland’s Outstanding Teen (2013) and a former top 5 finalist at Miss Maryland (2018), Sabrina has used her time in MAO to gain interview skills, fundraising and networking experience, and meaningful friendships.

Sabrina loves using her knowledge and experience to help shape the next generation of young artists, and she is honored to have the opportunity to join such an incredible group of instructors as an MCCA staff member.
