Your role at MCCA:  Teaching piano lessons, music directing, and stage managing,

 

What classes do you teach: I teach private piano lessons.

 

Who would play you in a movie and why?: This is such a difficult question! I can’t think of someone who entirely reflects me as a person, so I’ll list some people I think are super talented and embody specific characteristics of myself: Nat King Cole, Joshua Henry, and Billy Joel.

 

Name a song that describes your teaching style:  I Believe in You from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

 

What is your favorite part of being an MCCA Teacher?  I love the safe and accepting atmosphere that has been created not only for the students but also for the instructors as well. You’re always encouraged to be your most authentic self.

Ashton's Bio

Ashton Williams started at MCCA as a student in 2018 and has loved becoming a part of the MCCA family. He has been enrolled in piano lessons and pre-professional musical theatre classes. He has been part of many of MCCA’s community events and productions including Fame Jr. as Schlomo, Aladdin Jr. as Kassim, James and the Giant Peach Jr. as Grasshopper, Singin’ in the Rain Jr. as Don Lockwood, Legally Blonde Jr. as Warner, and Newsies Jr. as Jack Kelly. He is a student at Mountain Ridge High School and a member of their drama club and choral program. He is very excited to be part of such a positive atmosphere and pursue a new chapter in his journey at MCCA. “My love for music and theatre has been fostered by the staff at MCCA and I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to work with them.”
